Niche Food Microbiology Pty Ltd (NFM),  began as a microbiology consultancy to the food industry in 2012. In 2014, while teaching at TAFE, a small NATA accredited laboratory was set-up which strengthened existing relationships with clients and provided an on-site NATA laboratory experience to biological science students. Hastened by the imminent G20 shutdown of the TAFE campus, Niche Food Microbiology designed, and moved to a purpose built modern laboratory on the south side of Brisbane.

NFM has forged strong relationships with our customers in a range of fields including:

  • Cheesemakers,
  • Cake and dessert makers,
  • Egg producers,
  • Small goods producers and;
  • Manufacturers of ready to eat meals.

NFM now boasts a staff of 13, a broad scope of food testing accreditations and a unique reputation for bundling testing with personal advice, service and feedback.
